Create a Member Draw

Create a random draw from the member database. Administrators can filter which members to include in the draw based on membership group, age, gender, financial status and specifically exclude individual members.

Access to run the draw and edit the draw is controlled by the security level of the user i.e. create a user to run the draw but not edit draw settings.

Quick Steps

Step 1 - Using the main menu, navigate to Members > Member Draw

Step 2 - Click on + Member Draw button

Step 3 - Complete each section of the draw configuration screen and Save;

• General
• Date and Time
• Members
• Countdown Display
• Save

Step 4 - Change draw background image (optional);

• Upload an image to the club website or MiMembership site. We recommend using a high resolution image with a width of 1800px and landscape orientation (image width is greater than height)
• Copy the image URL and paste into the MiMembership setting: member.draw.background.url 

Step by Step Guide

Step 1 - Using the main menu, navigate to Members > Member Draw

Step 2 - Click on + Member Draw button

Step 3 - Complete each section of the draw configuration screen and Save;

• General
  • Name - enter the name of the draw. This is displayed on the draw member view
  • Prize Amount - enter the current prize amount. This is displayed on the draw member view. The Prize Increment increases this amount each time the draw is not claimed
  • Prize Value - enter the draw minimum (standard) amount. When a prize is claimed the Prize Amount starts again at the draw Prize Value
  • Prize Increment - the amount the draw increases when prize is not claimed
  • Max Retry Count - the maximum number of times the draw is run in one session/day
• Date and Time
  • Next draw date - the next date the draw will be run
  • Draw frequency - how often the draw is run
  • Start/End time - the start and end times of the draw
• Members
  • Gender - select which genders to include
  • Groups - select which membership groups to include
  • Min/Max Age - specify minimum and maximum age restrictions (leave blank if no restrictions apply)
  • Excluded Members - specify individuals to be excluded from the draw
  • Include unfinancial - by default unfinancial members are not included in the draw
• Countdown Display
  • Seconds to draw winner - specify the number of seconds that the system will display member names 'spinning'
  • Seconds to claim prize - specify the number of seconds a member has to present themselves to claim the prize
  • Draw Speed - adjust the speed that the member names 'spin'. Lower the number the faster.
  • Display more than 1 member name in the spinning carousel (default is 1)
• Save

Step 4 - Change draw background image (optional);

• Upload an image to the club website or MiMembership site. We recommend using a high resolution image with a width of 1800px and landscape orientation (image width is greater than height). Please contact support@miclub.com.au if you require assistance
• Copy the image URL and paste into the MiMembership setting: member.draw.background.url 
  • Navigate to Configuration > Global > Settings > Member
  • Select Edit from the setting Action drop menu
  • Remove default content and paste URL in the 'value field, then Save
