How to create a surcharge and add to payment method

Use this option to add a surcharge to credit card or online payment options.

Quick Guide

1. Navigate to Configuration - Financials - Surcharges
2. Select +Surcharge button
3. Complete the Surcharge details:
   • Enter a name
   • Select the Account the surcharge invoice will be created in (usually subscriptions)
   • Select the Tax Type
   • Select the GL Code (only required if GL integration is enabled)
   • Enter Initial Variation - this can be a $ value, percentage or combination of both
   • Save
4. Navigate to Configuration - Financials - Payment Methods
5. Select the Payment Method that is to have the surcharge added
6. In the Surcharge dropdown, select the surcharge applicable and save

Any payments made using the payment method will now have the surcharge automatically calculated and added to the payment total.

3.  Complete the Surcharge details
