Update Xero Connection - V3

In order to have the MiMembership to Xero connection (app) certified by Xero, all current connections will be moved to the new app.

What this means for you - When Xero have finished the certification process, the connection will be certified, and as Xero only allows 2 uncertified apps to be connected at a time will free up space in your Xero for a different app.

The Process

1. MiClub Staff will contact you to arrange a day / time for the changeover.
2. On that day, the settings in your MiMembership will be updated.
3. Once the settings in MiMembership have been updated, you will no longer be able to send journals from MiMembership, when trying to do so you will get an "unauthorized" error. 
4. You will need a Xero administrator to log into your Xero account, go to settings and then Connected Apps
5. From this screen any apps that are MiMembership related should be disconnected.

6. Log back into MiMembership and try the GL Integration - you should get a "not authorised" message

From there, each user who has permissions to send Journals from MiMembership to Xero will need to follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Configuration and under Integration select Integration Settings.

2. Under Manage Integrations select General Ledger
3. In General Ledger select the Authorize Xero button
4. Log in to Xero 

Note: if you return an error webpage check your email for a confirmation from Xero; confirm and continue to log in to Xero

5. Select the Allow access button

6. Select an organisation from the drop-down menu and then select Connect, you will be redirected back to the MiMembership GL Integration page with buttons that allow you to revoke the access.

7. Test the Connection.  Navigate to Configuration/Financials/Chart of Accounts/GL Code/Retrieve GL Codes from Xero. Select Get GL Codes. This will query Xero for GL codes in the system.

Note:  In some circumstances, updating the app may cause some empty (older) journals to appear on your General Ledger Integration page - these can simply be selected and Recorded as added manually with no affect on your general ledger
