Creating a new Ad-Hoc email template

When there is a standard email sent out regularly from MiMembership - for example "Welcome New Member" , there can be a template set up with the content of that email to be selected when emailing a member / members.


Quick Guide


1. Configuration / Communication / Email Content

2. + Email Content

3. Give the content a name and select Content Type:  Body

4. Drag the widget you would like to use from the right hand side into the content are (usually use the plain text one)

5. Highlight the text in the widget and type over it for the content you are after 

6.  If you are wanting to put code in to show member specific detaile (i.e. member number etc) - they can be found in configuration under Adhoc Email Parameter, you need to use the code fom the "result" column

7.  Save the body content.

8.  Go the to Email Templates configuration in the communciation section and select + Email Template

9.  Complete the Name, Subject (what shows on subject line when sent) From Address and Email Title (what shows at the top of the email)

10  In the Header section, dropdown and select "standard header"

11 In the Body section, dropdown and select the content you just created in step 3

12.  In the Footer section, dropdown and select "standard footer

13.  Tick the "Ad Hoc Email" square

13 click the +Style Sheet Button

14  Save

15 When using send message to create an email for a member / members you should now be able to select the template you have just created, select update and preview the email to ensure the content is correct.

7.  Save the body content.

8.  Go the to Email Templates configuration in the communciation section and select + Email Template

10  In the Header section, dropdown and select "standard header"

11 In the Body section, dropdown and select the content you just created in step 3

12.  In the Footer section, dropdown and select "standard footer

13.  Tick the "Ad Hoc Email" square

13 click the +Style Sheet Button

When steps 9-13 are complete, should look something like this

14  Save

15 When using send message to create an email for a member / members you should now be able to select the template you have just created, select update and preview the email to ensure the content is correct.
