Setting Open Office as default program for document files (Windows)

When printing membership cards or wishing to edit your own document templates, you may need to set your computer settings so it automatically opens .odt files with open office or Libre Office  instead of microsoft word.


Quick Guide - Windows



1.  Windows > Settings


2.  Apps


3.  Default Apps > Choose default apps by file type


4.  Scroll to .odt and ensure that Open Office Writer is the default app
